Your Rights Under GDPR

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Right of Access: You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to Rectification: You can ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Right to Erasure: You can request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
• Right to Data Portability: You can request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Right to Restrict Processing: You can ask us to limit how we use your data.

What Data Will Be Deleted

Upon a valid deletion request, we will erase:

• Your account profile (display name, email, avatar).
• Snapchat integration data (external ID, Bitmoji avatar URL).
• Google integration data (avatar URL).
• Your messages and chat content.
• Group membership records and titles.
• Financial data (expenses, fines, payment shares) associated with your account.
• Push notification tokens.

Note: Some anonymized data may be retained for legal or operational reasons (e.g., aggregate financial records within a group).

Timeline

We will process your deletion request within 30 days of receipt. You will receive a confirmation email once your data has been erased.

Snapchat Data

If you have linked your Snapchat account, all Snapchat-related data (external ID, display name, Bitmoji avatar URL) will be permanently deleted. You can also unlink your Snapchat account at any time from your profile settings within the app without deleting your entire account.
